At Vloto, our customer support line was getting flooded with repetitive phone calls. The same questions about pricing, car availability, and booking details over and over.
I built an AI agent on the WhatsApp Business API that gives customers a faster channel to get answers, in both Dutch and English, matching Vloto's tone. Beyond answering FAQs from a trained knowledge base, the agent uses tool calling to perform actual actions on bookings (extending rentals, checking availability, updating details), all with backend validation layers to ensure security and data integrity. The result: phone calls dropped significantly, and the agent now autonomously resolves 55% of all WhatsApp conversations without any human involvement.
